Lailey is 1 year old! Well, at 2:39 pm today, but close enough. In true birthday style, we had birthday pancakes for breakfast this morning. Okay, I admit, my homemade baby food-eating kid even got some syrup on her pancakes too. She kept saying "Mmmmm! Mmmmm!" Here she is playing with the syrup on her fingers.
My birthday boy also got pancakes for breakfast! Rudy is 4 today.
Ah, she has learned to close doors...on Daddy.

Yesterday we gave Lailey her birthday presents a little early because it was so beautiful outside and we had to take advantage of it. The hose water was COLD, but she's tough apparently because after a few moments of standing, she plopped right down and began playing. She loves the water and her big purple ball. All yesterday and today she's been chattering about her "Ba! Ba!" and pointing to it and hugging it. So adorable! The bathing suit was a birthday present from Grandpa Jim. Have you ever seen anything cuter?
