Davey has been wanting to take us to some local mountain bike trails to go hiking. Maddox is big enough to hike with us now, at least for a little while, so on this particular Saturday morning, we got dressed and headed out with our very happy dogs.

It was fun, except for the bug bites, but it was worth it. The kids really enjoyed themselves, and so did the dogs.

Rudy let Lailey walk him for a long time, and Hank was even able to be off leash, since there were no other dogs or people around to greet.

I made Davey walk ahead so I wouldn't walk into any spider webs. I like to look at them, not be tangled in them.

Near the end they got a little hot and tired, but I'm so glad they're at the age now where they can join us doing outdoor stuff. It was a fun hike!
