Sigh. They get big so fast. I really can't remember my life without this sweet little face. Maddox weighs about 12.6 lbs. and measures about 23.5 in long. He has discovered his voice and will talk to us with coos and grunts when he's in the mood. He's pretty vocal while on the changing table.
He still loves baths and chilling out watching everyone. He is paying more attention to Lailey now and will smile at her when she talks to him.
Maddox still sleeps around 9 hours at night and sleeps between almost every feeding during the day. Lately he's been having a fussy time in the evenings and has taken a long time to settle down for the night. This is really odd because many times during the day he doesn't even cry when we lay him down awake for a nap. Hmmm, can't figure it out quite yet. No amount of rocking, cuddling, nursing, pacifier, or bouncing seems to completely soothe him for a long time. He does finally go to sleep, either in my arms or after some crying in his bed, but it's so much different than during the day. Ah well, I must repeat my own advice to myself: "Everything is a phase. So enjoy the good ones and remember that the difficult ones will not last very long."
